2x winner DNA Day essay contest

For the second year in a row, Lake Dallas High School senior Blake Holman was named as a finalist in the annual DNA Day essay contest sponsored by the American Society of Human Genetics. This year he won Honorable Mention and will receive $100 and a certificate from ASHG in recognition.

The topic this year was gene therapy. Holman was one of 15 recognized from 17,000 entries from over 20 countries.
