360-Degree Wellness Under One Roof

360-Degree Wellness Under One Roof

by Steve Gamel

Most people like to think the majority of patients who seek out Dr. Taylor Scott and his team at Lake Cities Chiropractic and Wellness in Corinth can point to a specific injury or accident as a reason for their pain. They can sit down and say, “My lower back hurts, and it’s because of a car accident I was in last month.”

In reality, Dr. Scott says those types of cases are few and far between.”

“I’d say 60 to 70 percent of people walk in and say, ‘I’m hurting, and I really don’t know why,’” Dr. Scott said. “All they can say is they woke up feeling like this, or the pain came on gradually. Our job is to figure out the why.”

While a chiropractor is great at quick fixes, many of us overlook them as a valuable resource for guidance on everything from nutrition to providing relief for arthritis, poor posture, anxiety, and debilitating conditions that disrupt our quality of life. Many of these issues are a direct result of what Dr. Scott calls lifestyle injuries, small events or ways we go about our daily lives that by themselves seem harmless, but over time add up and create chaos within our bodies.

For nearly 20 years, Dr. Scott and his staff have made it their mission not only to employ the traditional and low-force chiropractic techniques used to correct skeletal imbalances but also be that 360-degree care system for patients who have struggled for years with more significant issues and crave a natural cure instead of more prescription medication.

His office offers innovative ways to help with stress management, pain management, and nutritional imbalances, including massage therapy, spinal decompression, whole-body vibration therapy, rehabilitation, far infrared saunas, and electrotherapy.
All of these methods and more help his patients recover from back pain, neck pain, knee pain, headaches and migraines, sciatica, fibromyalgia, and other chronic conditions.

“I’d rather get someone taken care of so they don’t keep dealing with the same problem,” Dr. Scott said. “It’s not just about fixing the spine. We want the bigger picture so we can move someone from Point A to Point B and show results along the way. We want to help them maintain a state of wellness for a longer period of time.”

“If we can change the whys while we fix the body – that is progress.”
