Shh! Granny J has a secret.
It’s Jakes on the corner of 3040 and Morris Road. It’s known for its burgers, beer and atmosphere, but I walked in one morning at 9am and they served me one of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had in
The traditional breakfast started with delicious home fries cooked with onions, fresh and soft in the middle. That came with not just regular grits but cheese grits, two eggs, bacon-sausage or ham and a fresh baked large biscuit with gravy. All for just $7.95!

Jake’s has a very clean and pleasant atmosphere with large TV screens all around no one knows about it.
