Local Day Camps for Every Kind of Kid

It’s that time again! Time to make some plans to keep the kiddos busy during the summer months. Here are a few area summer day camps that will keep the kids happy, healthy and most importantly, having fun!

Altitude Trampoline Park Denton
This high energy indoor trampoline park’s summer day camps begin June 14 through August 11. Camps can be half day (10a-1p or 1p-4p) or full day (10am-4pm) and include dodgeball, slam dunk contests, nerf wars, scavenger hunts, foam pit trick contests, tumble track showdowns and more. A Time to Dance
Just about every type of dance class imaginable is offered for kids as young as 3. There is a Prince and Princess Camp as well as a Star Wars Camp and Twirling Trolls camp. There are also lots of six week sessions from creative movement to all boys hip/hop. Intensive classes including modern, hip hop, jazz, acrobatics as well as ballet and pointe available for 7+. Corinth Recreation Department
Beginning in June, the City of Corinth will offer 9 weeks of summer day camp for boys and girls ages 5-12. Camp operates Monday through Friday from 7:00 am until 6:00 pm. Daily activities are held at Crownover Recreation Center and include a weekly field trip in the DFW area and swimming twice a week. Corinth Police CSI Camp
Every summer the Corinth Police Department hosts a week long CSI Camp that teaches teens ages 13-17 about many different aspects of law enforcement. Students will learn how to lift fingerprints, diagram a mock crime scene, cast a shoe print, and much more. This year camp is held July 24-28. Dak Prescott Youth Football Camp
This football camp is open to boys and girls grades 1-8 at Lake Dallas High School Falcon Stadium on June 24-25. Campers receive football tips, souvenir autograph from Dak, team photo with Dak and official camp t-shirt. Register at DakPrescottCamp.com. Use promo code Falcons2017 to save 10%.

Denton Parks and Rec “Come Play”
All summer long, Denton Parks and Rec is offering camps from kayaking to aerial intensive (where you hang from aerial silks) to a survivor-style camp. Denton Community Theatre
Hakuna Matata Camp (morning) Ages 4-6 and Circle of Life (afternoon) Camp take place June 5-16. These camps will explore the world of The Lion King, Jr. through age-appropriate characterization and improvisational work, puppets and mask-making, as well as songs and dances from the musical.
