Officer On The Bus Campaign

Officers from Corinth Police Department have been riding LDISD buses during their bus routes to build relationships with the students as well as look for drivers who disregard bus signals and stop signs.  Texas state law requires that drivers traveling in both directions must stop when a school bus displays its stop sign and flashing lights, unless there is a raised concrete median dividing the lanes of traffic. In that case, only the drivers that are on the same side of the road are required stop.
