Who can resist the feelings of hope and joy that one gets from participating in nature’s rebirth.
~ Edward Giobbi

Finally, the joyous season of Spring is upon us.  As we move into this much anticipated season, we are greeted with crisp morning air, brilliant hues of new leaves and floral blossoms, and the sighting of migrating birds.  We get to enjoy longer days and the soothing warmth of the weather.  Making plans with friends and family seem more fun when we can move things to the outdoors. Spring is officially here!

A feeling of hope and renewal comes over us after this Easter season.  Soon, we get to focus on making special plans with our mothers this Mother’s Day on May 14th.  And before you know it, we’ll be gearing up for graduations. As we all enjoy these personal milestones and celebrations, our community has plenty of excitement around the corner.

Lake Cities continues on an thrilling frontier of growth and development.  DATCU is opening a new branch location on Swisher Road and they’re celebrating their one year anniversary of moving their corporate headquarters to Corinth.  We are so pleased to have such quality business leadership from DATCU right here in our community.

More exciting news comes with reports of the Interstate 35E expansion project reaching completion this  summer.  This will increase commerce and safety in Lake Cities.  It will encourage more local shopping and support of our businesses not only from our residents but from our visiting neighbors.

Another sign of progress is the groundbreaking for the City of Corinth’s new Public Safety Center located on Swisher Road.  This is a clear signal of community growth when the public safety services and resources are expanding. With the strength and vision of our city leaders and public servants, we are on our way up!

It feels exciting to witness and be part of the hope of a new season for us as individuals and the community as a whole.
