The Spirit of Christmas: Calendar Of Events

The Spirit of Christmas provides a Thanksgiving meal and Christmas gifts, which includes shoes, clothes and gifts, to children in families that fall below the poverty line. Here in the Lake Cities area we have several events and volunteer opportunities.

Wine For A Cause:
On November 16th, There Has To Be More Ministries & Lake Cities Spirit of Christmas, is partnering with Wines With An Appeal to host Wine For A Cause. During the event you will learn about wines from around the world while sampling them, and there will also be bottles available for purchase. The event will be from 7 – 9pm and the cost will be $25 per person. Located at 917 N. Mill St., Lewisville, TX 75057.

Spirit Of Christmas Fun Run:
The weather is cooling down which is a great reminder that it is time once again to hit the trails with family and friends in support of your favorite event, The Lake Cities Spirit of Christmas Fun Run. Join us for this family-friendly community event at Sycamore Bend Park on November 3, 2018, start time is 8am. The event features a 1 mile and 5k fun run/walk to help provide a Thanksgiving dinner and Christmas presents for children in the Lake Cities community who need a hand up. Won’t you join us? Sponsor, donate, walk or run it doesn’t matter because every dollar counts. Registrar at SOCrun.org. The 1 mile is $10 a person and the 5k is $20 a person.

Sponsorship Levels: Minor $100 | Standard $250-$499 | Major $500-$999 | Monumental $1,000 +

 

Coat Drive:
Now through Nov. 4th -Used coats can be taken to Daisy or Comet in Corinth to be cleaned.

 

Can Food Sorting:
Nov. 17th at 10am – Location at the Lake Dallas Elementary.

 

Wrapping Party:
Dec. 14th at 6:30pm -Location at the Lake Dallas Middle School.
