Where There is Unity, There is Always Victory

Where There is Unity, There is Always Victory

Recently, we all had the daunting task of commemorating our lost heroes of September 11th.  It’s hard to imagine that it has been 15 years since our nation was changed forever due to the terrorism brought to our soil.  We were changed again when on July 7, 2016, Dallas police officers were gunned down while protecting citizens during a peaceful protest in downtown Dallas.  When we reflect on the significance of these tragic events in our history, we also have to look at the strengthening and resolve that it gives us to endure the loss and unite as Americans.

As Lake Cities residents celebrate all of the recent progress inside our community and in each of our homes, we need to take this time to stand together in unity to support our local law enforcement heroes. When we stop to inventory our lives and realize the privilege of social civility and security that we enjoy throughout our daily lives, it’s appropriate to pause and stand together to thank and show respect to the men and woman that risk their lives daily to give us our peaceful community.

They are mothers, fathers, sons and daughters who work holidays and sacrifice so much to make sure that our safety comes first. Let’s unite and show our sincere gratitude to the three law enforcement agencies, Corinth PD, Hickory Creek PD and Lake Dallas PD.

Lake Cities is blessed in so many ways.  Let’s also take this opportunity to appreciate our neighbors, teachers, clergymen, public servants, firemen, EMT rescuers and law enforcement.

Lake Cities is a great place to call home!
